Registration Information

to the registration page.

Instructions on using ONLINE REGISTRATION

Registering online is simple and quick.

  To register online, please use the following steps:

1.  Click on ONLINE REGISTRATION or the spinning soccer ball anywhere on this page.

2.  Click on CLICK HERE TO REGISTER ONLINE at the bottom of the new page that appears. 

• You must first create a user login to register on-line. If you have not used the system before, please fill in the fields on the right hand side of the screen to establish your user account. If you have already created your user login or have previously used online registration, simply enter your email address and your password.  If you don't recall your password, click on Forget your password? to have your password emailed to you.
• If you have registered before, existing profiles on each member of your family will be listed. If you are new or have a family member who is registering for the first time, please click on Add Another Family Member until you have added each member of your family. Please be aware that each child must be identified as a "CHILD" in your profile and each family must have at least one PARENT defined. YOU MUST SET UP A PARENT PROFILE BEFORE YOU DO THE CHILDREN.  PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER SOMEONE ELSES CHILD UNDER YOUR PROFILE NOR ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO BE REGISTERED UNDER ANOTHER FAMILY.
• After all family members have been defined, please click on Player Registration on the left hand side of the page. The system will prompt you to identify which profile you want to register. Please note that only profiles marked as a CHILD will be displayed. The existing profile contents will be displayed for you to review one final time. Please make any corrections necessary and click on the CONTINUE button at the bottom of the page.
• If you are registering for a Select Team, you will have to select the appropriate division and be ready to enter the INVITATION CODE supplied by your team. If you are registering for the Fall 2005 Recreational Program, please choose RECREATION at the bottom.   Players will be put on the proper teams by the registrar later.
• You will be prompted for specific information about playing experience, your last team, school information and medical/emergency contact information. Please complete all necessary fields and click CONTINUE at the bottom of the page.
• The system will show you the financial portion of the transaction including the registration amount and an optional box to make a contribution to CGSA. This area will also include the uniform charge for the U6-U8 age groups. Please make any modifications and click CONTINUE REGISTRATION.
• Please complete steps 5-8 for any additional players you would like to register.
• If you wish to volunteer for any activities at CGSA (i.e. Coach, Team Manager, etc.), please click on the VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION button on the left hand side of the page and follow the simple instructions.
• IMPORTANT: When you are finished registering individuals, you must click on the SUBMIT button to finish your registration. This will recap all of your activity and give you the choice to pay by check or by credit card. Please follow the instruction and save a copy of the confirmation for your records.  For the Fall season you will have to fill out a City release form and mail or drop off to the CGSA office.  This form is available on our documents page.

Registration Info

Select players (Academy, Athena, Classic or R3PL) will receive a registration code from their coach or team manager.  Select players cannot complete the registration process online without this code.

CGSA is affiliated with Georgia Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer. We have programs for both recreational and select (Athena & Classic) players.   CGSA has programs for players from age 5 through age 18.

Registration Forms: When you register at CGSA for the first time, you will need to provide a copy of the player's birth certificate.  We encourage all players to register online.

Uniform Package: For Recreation players the uniform kit is included in the registration price.  Included in the kit is one international jersey, shorts and a pair of socks.

Select uniform kits include a royal blue/ black jersey, a white jersey,1 pair of black shorts, 2 pair of socks and a training t-shirt. The cost of the kit is $100. Additional pieces of the kit can be ordered for an additional cost.

Refund Policy:  CGSA encourages players to register early to guarantee them a spot on the upcoming season.  If a player requests to withdraw their registration anytime between registration and the first game, CGSA will refund all of the registration except a $25 processing fee.  There will be no refunds after the first game of the season and all refunds require the approval of the CGSA President.  Please note that all requests for refunds must be submitted to CGSA in writing either by mailing CGSA at #16 Medical Arts Center, Savannah, GA 31405 or emailing us at cgsa@cgsasoccer.com.

Equipment: In addition to the uniform provided through CGSA, each player should have the equipment that is listed below. 

Appropriate size soccer ball

Every player must wear shin guards to all practices and games. Shin guards must be commercially manufactured specifically for soccer.
Players should wear cleated shoes that are designed for soccer or turf shoes. For players U12 and younger, all cleats must be molded into the shoe. 
Each player should bring a water bottle to all games and practice. Players should put their names on their water bottle.

Practice Information

Teams will practice a maximum of twice per week. There will be one game per week, normally on the weekend (except for possible make-up games). The following guidelines should be used for recreational teams:

If you are registering a player at CGSA for the first time, a copy of your child's birth certificate is required. Hospital, baptismal or other religious certificates are not acceptable. If you are having a problem getting a copy of your child's official birth certificate, go ahead and register now and make sure you provide us a copy of the birth certificate as soon as possible. You are not considered registered until you have paid all fees and we have a copy of the birth certificate. No player can be allowed to play in a game until we have a copy of his or her birth certificate.  Don't forget the player release form for the City available on our DOCUMENTS page.
